Niagara Cycloid Vibration Therapy
Similar to Power Plate, the Niagara CVT Tools use clean and uniform 3-Dimensional vibrations to promote enhanced recovery and preparation. Their smaller and unique design makes them ideal for targeting specific areas of the body.
At Hobart Performance we use the Niagara CVT Pad and CVT Hand Unit as part of our Private Treatments. Use of the devices is determined by your specific needs and expected results. You can book a Private Treatment via Schedule Appointment button above. The cost is $60 for 45 minutes.
How Cycloid Vibration Therapy works:
Cycloid Vibration Therapy is a unique 3-Dimensional vibration, which penetrates deep into the body’s soft tissues to provide gentle massage. The production of the vibrations is rhythmical, elliptical movement similar to a gyroscope.
The vibrations created are a form of acceleration and the variance in frequency (speed) and amplitude (size) of these accelerations, in conjunction with varying manual pressure, applies varying force to the body. When our bodies, or more specifically, our tissues receive this force biological changes are triggered. Different applications of force trigger different responses.
It’s the triggering of these biological responses that produces the benefits that we seek with the use of Cycloid Vibration Therapy.
The more uniform and harmonic the vibrations, the greater the biological responses. We live in 3-Dimensions so devices that produce linear or 1 or 2-Dimensional vibrations are not providing the full potential that 3-Dimensional vibration does. This is where Niagara CVT devices are superior to all other medical vibration technology.
The benefits of Niagara CVT:
- Non-aggressive deep tissue massage.
- Increased local blood flow.
- Enhanced joint mobility.
- Reduced musculoskeletal pain.
- Reduction in vascular or lymphatic oedema (swelling).
- Enhanced wound and pressure ulcer healing.
Contraindications for using Niagara CVT:
- Acute pulmonary oedema.
- Acute thrombophlebitis.
- Acute congestive cardiac failure.
- Acute infections.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of pulmonary embolism (PE).
- Conditions where increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable.
- Bone fractures or dislocations at or near the site of application.
All Niagara devices are listed on the Australian Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and have been clinically researched to prove their benefits. If you want to know more and like a little scientific reading then the following clinical evaluation is very interesting:
